Operation method:
1. Check before measurement:
Remove the cap of the instrument, contact the probe with the two contacts on the cap, press the test switch, if the display is 18±1 (when the correction gear is 5), it means that the instrument is in normal condition.
2. Gear setting method:
According to the paper to be measured, the gear should be set according to the recommended schedule. First hold down the type setting button, and then press the test switch “Switch” at the same time, at this time, the setting value of the current gear will be displayed and the decimal point in the lower right corner will light up. Press the type setting button continuously to change the gear to the desired position, release the two buttons, and the setting is complete. After starting, the set gear will be maintained until it is changed again.
3. Measurement:
Insert the electrode probe into the paper specimen to be measured. Press the test switch, the data indicated by the LED digital tube is the average absolute moisture content of the specimen, the measurement value < 3 shows 3.0, the measurement value > 40 shows 40, indicating that it has exceeded the range.

First of all, take a number of paper samples that are to be determined as far as possible to maintain the balance of moisture, and use this instrument to measure the indicated value when the type is set at 1 ~ 7, and calculate and record the average value respectively. Then the specimen was sent to the oven and the moisture content was measured by drying method. Then compared with the average value of 7 groups, the closest value is taken as the appropriate type correction gear. It can be used as a reference for setting up later.
If it is not possible to conduct the above test and determine the category correction gear due to limited conditions, we usually recommend testing on the 5th gear. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the measurement error caused by this.
